Short Stories on Wattpad

Have you discovered Wattpad yet? It is a treasure trove of stories for you to read and a place you can share stories of your own. I was put onto Wattpad a couple of years ago by a fellow writer and posted a few short stories but of course - you guessed it - life got in the way and Wattpad was forgotten.

Recently another writer friend asked me, 'Are you on Wattpad?' and I got back on again to check in out. I realized two of the three short stories I put on there I didn't even remember writing and didn't have them written down anywhere else (they may have been one of the many things I lost on a USB stick many moons ago).

So the thrill of sharing my work here is in full force and I have started uploading some more of my work. I have added the first part of my novelette (extended from a short story) Guilty Conscience and the first part of another story I wrote a long time ago, Buried Secrets.

Buried Secrets is a different kind of story to what I normally write. Nothing too frightening or paranormal here. It is about a boy who, after visiting his grandmother in her retirement home, uncovers the whole truth about a family secret only he and his grandmother know. He can then set out to recover something that will change his life forever but doing so will be far more dangerous than he imagined.

In Guilty Conscience, a fun night on the beach turns sour for a group of friends when one mistake leads to another and results in murder. What happens tears the group of friends apart but soon they are in touch again when what happens comes back to haunt them... Literally.
