NOT JUST WRITING FOR THE READERS, I’M WRITING FOR MYSELF AS WELL

My love for writing is eternal. Nothing will ever stop me wanting to write. Someone once said to me, “What if you never get published? And if you do, what if you don’t sell a lot of copies? Will you still spend all your spare time writing?” Simple answer: “Yes!”

I write because I love it. It is not just a passion that I am working my hardest at forming into a career, it is also a hobby. Some people knit and scrapbook and even if no one other than themselves ever looks at their projects and goes “Wow! That is great!” That doesn’t mean they stop doing it. Because they enjoy it. They do it for themselves.

That’s what writing is to me. Its not just about being enjoyed and devoured by the eyes of others. Its not about becoming rich and famous. It’s also about doing what I love, for me.

I do hope my work is read and enjoyed and known by many. So far I have only received great feedback for my stories and my poetry so I know I’ve got something going :-) But I can always look back on all the things I’ve ever written and enjoy them myself. Can’t I? And that’s why I will always write. no matter what.
