Sweet Countryside I love

Where rows of wheat and barley grow
Where seedlings sprout from dirt furrow
Where windmills spin in lazy breeze
Where cockatoos sit in the trees
Soil giving life abound
The undulant and flattened ground
The colors rich and dull and bright
The multitude of stars at night
The air fresher in no other place
Tractors roll at careful pace
Sheds and fences old and new
Lands that tell a story true
Lowing cows content to graze
Back burning flames so brightly blaze
Agricultural pointillism is
An art that fills my heart with bliss

Sweet Countryside I love

TWISTED

Twisted, squirming in my mind

Lethargic sands of waisted time

Hate and love and lust entwined

Poisoned fruit from tainted vine.

Alone here at the table sit

These clever fools, wiser we get

Broken puzzle pieces fit

Into societies tight knit

The gates of trust when open wide

Invite the ghosts and ghouls inside

The beasts and beauties identities hide

In false idols we do confide.

Bear the scars of battles lost

Of wars we’ve won at any cost

The bitter chills of betrayals frost

A broken heart with pieces lost.

A blanket of the brightest stars

Shine on distant lands afar

The rich and poor about on par

Just different dirt and different scars.

Salt that’s rubbed into the wound

The future’s mystery ahead it looms

Silence thrust upon the room

From voices rough with tainting boom.

Into the dark, we bring the light

Upon the sun, we force the night

We do what’s wrong yet learn what’s right

We learn the lesson, yet loose the fight.

LIFE: A Fruitful Risk

The glass seemed half full

Yet is was also half empty

I didn’t know

How to feel

Sometimes life was productive

Sometimes it wasn’t

At times I coasted along at a plateau that was just

Average

When we are young we look up to adulthood in awe

We climb the stairs of LIFE with

Impatience

Wishing the journey was shorter; quicker

Yet when we reach the

Place of responsibility

It is not what we expected

Sometimes we may wish we can descend those stairs again but it was a

One way trip

We produce the fruit of life who are our children and it is

Magical

The seeds blossom and grow

As we nurture them

Despite their imperfections we love them

They are ours to adore

They are one of things that make this risky life

FRUITFUL

We sip from the chalice of memories that tastes of bittersweet nostalgia

Essence of life

That is pleasing to the tongue yet

Burns in our stomachs

Sometimes we feel as if our best times have

Slipped behind us

Sometimes they lurk on the road

AHEAD

Life is a journey that shapes us as we

LEARN

Through trial and error and those

Mistakes can be caustic

Yet they are what helps us

LEARN

Helps us GROW

We discover some people are cruel beyond compare

Some kind beyond measure

Things may be easy and yet they may not be and it challenges our strengths

Our ENDURANCE

We work hard to achieve our dreams and sometimes happiness just falls into our laps unexpectedly

Sometimes we just need to realize

Our time on this earth is a beautiful gift

Yet limited

Life is a FRUITFUL RISK worth taking

My Heart's Reason

Trust me with your heart and I

Swear that I will always keep

Every secret that you told me

Every word you ever speak.

Tie me up in knots and hold me

And my heart shall thud and leap

For you’re my all and what beholds me

In my dreams as I’m asleep.

To the ends of Earth we’ll wander

From road to road; from street to street

On the future we shall ponder

What will come and who we’ll meet.

And we’ll see the world as colours

Splayed across a bright white sheet

Trust me with your heart for you

Are the reason mine does beat.

At My Core

I am who I am and I love me for me

I have scars on the inside that most people don’t even know are there

Let alone are able to see them

But they make me who I am.

I have hit rock bottom but I climbed back up

I have done things I am not proud of and taken paths I shouldn’t have walked along, yet all my mistakes have

Shaped me

Made me a better person

I have integrity because I can admit my faults and

Learn from them

It doesn’t matter what others think of me

Of my past

Judging me based of whole truths, part truths and pure rumours alike

Spoken by mouths that have nothing better to do than gossip about others while they turn a blind eye to their

Own faults

That is ok because I know I work hard to climb the stairs that take me on my journy

Think what you may but know this

I have

NEVER pretended to be someone I am not.

I have changed from one life to the next and I evolve in myself but

I am still me

I am REAL

I do not regret a single lesson that taught me

WHO I AM

It Takes Time to Grow

Little by little the apple trees grow

You see what you planted

You reap what you sow

You learn what you’re taught

You use what you know

Soar when you’re high

Climb up when you’re low

Believe that you can

And in time you’ll know

That little by little

The apple trees grow
